FlexiSPY Software
FlexiSPY is an ‘activity logger’ for mobile phones. That’s another word for spyware. All activity such as sending and receiving SMS messages, call history, (incoming / outgoing), call duration, GPRS activity, and contact names in their address book that is associated to each SMS and call.
At least FlexiSPY is activity monitoring software that needs to be consciously installed by a Human, who knows EXACTLY what the software does. It does NOT self replicate, it does NOT pretend to be something it is not, and it ALWAYS requires conscious human action for instalation. Unfortunately this doesn’t stop unethical people from sending the program to phones via a Bluetooth connection and trust that there are enough curious people to install it.
FlexiSPY must be consciously installed on the device by a user who has physical possession of that device. How many times have you installed spyware thinking it was something else for your computer? I know I have! FlexiSpy sounds like the equivalent of a key logger on a computer.
FlexiSPY does not masquerade itself as something it is not, nor does it replicate itself as a virus would. But it is the beginning of something concerning. Spyware is making that “jump” to phones, and that really stinks. I guess it had to happen sooner or later. Just be weary of programs that you install on your phone, as the next one could be a troublemaker!
